Chicago's Favorite Bartenders
KenStirs is an idea created back in 2018 originally called O'Leary Cow. Originally the idea was a referral program between a tight nit community of bartenders who would send tourists to the best service in Chicago. We would help map out peoples weekends and visits. Eventually several of us started doing private events on our own and hiring each other. We fell in love with the concept of making peoples special events and memories even better. As the O'Leary Cow concept started to dicipate due to people leaving there bar/restaurants and moving around. We decided to take our "side hustle" and turn into a special business we could all be proud of. Each event is like opening a new bar, each client is like one of the original tourists that we helped out; pointing them in the direction of the perfect venue, bartenders, and food. Ken "The Kenstir" Lawson
The Owner of KenStirs and the originator of the O'Leary Cow concept. Ken has been bartending for over 2 decades; all of it in Chicagoland. His resume includes being the Lead Bartender Downtown Chicago at Millennium Park. He ran a 32 Seat Bar with 240 additional seats and looked up at "The Bean" everyday. Together with the squad; they brought the city back out of Covid 19 by opening up at full capacity with 60% of the staff to the most successful season in years. "That was a magical summer" Ken says. He also was the lead bartender for the famous "BluesFest" in charge of 7 tents of concessions. Other notable positions downtown are Miller's Pub on Wabash; a Chicago tradition. Also has bartended at the only historically recognized music venue in Illinois, "Fitzgerald's Nightclub" in Berwyn. He has been a part of over 32 bar/restaurant openings, owned his own for several years, and has designed drink menus for many more than that.
